Greene Made Saints Bossby Andy White Wednesday, July 14, 2010
DENNIS GREENE has stepped up from his position as assistant manager of St Neots Town to become their new first team boss.
The move follows Steve Lomas' decision to stand down from his managerial post due to a change in personal circumstances.
Commenting on the situation, chairman John Delaney said: "No one
should be surprised that he has left St Neots Town Football Club.
"The
directors took the decision that we had to ensure that when we appointed
an Assistant for Steve Lomas that we had someone with the right
attributes to take this club forward and fulfil our expectations and
ambitions.
"When Dennis Greene came in he earned our respect through his
hard work, commitment, knowledge and attitude and it was always our plan
to offer him the job which he readily accepted."
Greene has moved swiftly to appoint former QPR, Cambridge United and Notts County winger Tony Scully as his player-coach.
Speaking about his appointment as manager, Green said: "It's my dream job."
