HUNGERFORD TOWN have swooped to sign the 2009/10 Hellenic Division One East Golden Boot winner, Richard Bland.

Bland, who helped Wokingham & Emmbrook to second with his goals last season, says the move was too good to turn down.

He told the Hungerford Town website: "This was too much of an opportunity to miss, and gives me a chance to prove myself at an higher level.

"It was a hard decision to make, as I've really enjoyed my time here and have some great memories. The lads and spectators have been great to me and I wish them all the best for future."

The frontman made his Hungerford debut in 2-0 friendly win over Wantage Town on Tuesday night and made an immediate impact, setting up the first goal before netting the second.
