Boss Nicky Law urges consistency from Alfreton Town

boss Nicky Law has warned his side must start showing consistency if they want to be challenging at the top of the North.

The Reds have won two ties on the road against rivals and , but they've also lost their last two league games.

Those results mean Law's men have now slipped down to 11th in the table as they prepare to travel to on Saturday.

The Pilgrims have recovered from a poor run of results to win three of their last four league games to move up to eighth.

And Law is under no illusions of how difficult the trip will be and has pointed at the importance of his side getting back on track.

“The Cup wins and prize money are obviously a big bonus to us but we definitely need to start producing some positive results in the league as a matter of urgency,” he said.

“Having lost the last two league games it is important we try to get back on track again.

“Our inconsistency is currently a major issue and the players have to quickly start and realise what makes them a decent team and what makes them average one.

“It is all down to what we do and how we approach each game starting at Boston this weekend.

“Boston will be a tough fixture but it is all about us, nobody else. It's all about what we do both individually but more importantly, collectively.”
