boss says winger Dominic Vose should be “grateful” to the club after sealing a Deadline Day move to .

The 22-year-old joined the Dragons in the summer from and scored 11 times in 31 Wrexham appearances.

He joined League One Scunthorpe on Monday, after Wrexham had reportedly accepted a bid from rivals Grimsby Town.

On his departure, Vose has said: “My intention was to stay at Wrexham until the end of the season and try and get promoted.

“It showed the intention of accepting the bid from a rival club in Grimsby, it just showed what direction the club wanted to go regarding me. That spoke volumes to me.”

Boss Mills had left Vose out of his side for the past two matches and says the move was the right one for all parties.

“I'm pleased he's now a league player. But he should be grateful for having that opportunity because of what he's done at Wrexham,” Mills said.

“I haven't spoken with Dominic since he signed for Scunthorpe. But it would be nice to feel Dominic might pick up the phone and say ‘I've enjoyed working with you gaffer and thanks for helping me get to where I am now.

“Dominic's done well for us this season but as a player I would have liked him to have been a bit more consistent with his play

“I decided with the offer Scunthorpe made and with Dominic out of contract in the summer as well that it was the right decision all round.”
