WREXHAM boss Gary Mills has brought former Red Dragons striker Bradley Reid back to the club on loan after Michael Bakare suffered an injury on Saturday.
Bakare went down injured just before the break against Eastleigh and looks set to be out for at least a few weeks with a pulled hamstring.
Mills moved quickly to bolster his attacking options, signing Reid on an initial one-month loan from Championship club Wolves.
Reid came through Wrexham's academy before earning a move to Molineux in September 2013 for a reported fee of around £200,000.
The Wales U19 international spent time on loan with AFC Telford at the end of the 2014-15 season but missed most of last term with a broken leg.
Boss Mills told the Daily Post.“We've taken Bradley on loan for a month initially, and I don't need to tell people about Bradley at Wrexham do I?
“He likes to get in behind, can finish, he will probably want to come here and show people that he has gone away to Wolves and I know he has had an injury, but come here and show what he is about now. He will probably have grown up a little bit from when he was here before.
“He will want to kick start his career again, and this is a great league to do that in. He will feel comfortable here because he knows people here and he will settle in straight away, so there is no issue with that. I am pleased we have got him in, we needed to do it, and hopefully he will come in and do well for us.”
Mills has also extended the loan of Gerry McDonagh until January with the Nottingham Forest youngster impressing the Racecourse boss.
“I think Gerry is getting better game by game, we have seen he is a handful, we've addressed a couple of things where we feel he can improve, but that will be good for him as well,” Mills added.
