How Youtube helped Darryl Knights decide on a move to Kidderminster Harriers

DARRYL KNIGHTS was convinced to sign for after watching some of the club's games on Youtube!

Knights has called time on four-and-a-half years at side to drop down a division with the Harriers.

The attacking midfielder previously played for Kiddy between 2008 and 2010 after leaving hometown club Ipswich Town.

The 28-year-old has returned to Aggborough six years after departing and has signed a deal until the end of the season.

Last season, Knights helped Moors win the and earn promotion to 's top tier for the first time in their history.

He has struggled for regular game time this season, however, and will be hoping to break into the first team at Aggborough with Harriers flying high in second.

And Knights won't have to be told just how good John Eustace's side are, he has already seen for himself!

“When I first spoke to Gards (head of coaching Matt Gardiner), he told me to watch some of the Youtube videos so being the busy person I am, I sat down and had a look,” Knights told the club's website.

“I watched a few of the games and was surprised by the amount of opportunities they created. There's a good, young squad here and I'm excited to be part of it.

“I became a Kidderminster fan after my first spell and their result was the first one I looked out for on a Saturday after I had played. When I got the opportunity to come back I was delighted. Aggborough feels like home.

“I've matured a lot since I first signed here. I had just come out of pro and didn't really understand the Non-League game. I've adjusted to Non-League football and hopefully I can show more than when I was last at Kiddy.

“I had four fantastic years at Solihull from the brink of going into administration to the success of last year so I've had my lows and lots of highs.”
