Maidstone United secure wanted duo Jamar Loza and Seth Nana Twumasi on contracts

have secured Jamar Loza and Seth Nana Twumasi on contracts until the end of the season as the Stones continue to battle to remain in the .

Both players joined the club in the Autumn and the duo have impressed Stones boss Jay Saunders since arriving at the Gallagher Stadium.

Ex-Norwich striker Loza, who scored in the Boxing Day draw at Dover, had been linked with a move back into the League but Maidstone have now secured his immediate future.

Defender Twumasi, who is developing a football academy in his home country of Ghana, has reportedly turned down a move to League Two side Cheltenham to remain at Maidstone.

Boss Saunders, who has seen his side lose eight of their last ten league games, said: “I am delighted to get these two on contract.

“We've all seen what Jamar's capable of in recent weeks and I was very keen to keep him here. His performances were always going to attract attention but this deal means we'll have his services through till the end of April at the very least.

“Seth's had offers to go full-time in recent weeks and it says a lot to me that he's opted to stick with us. There was very little persuading on my part, he's enjoyed his time here so far and wants to see the job through to the end.”

Saunders has, however, made ex- defender Callum Driver, ex-Eastbourne midfielder Jack Evans and forward Ben Greenhalgh available for loan.
