HULL CITY youngster Johan ter Horst has set himself the target of ten goals for the rest of the season after joining National League strugglers York City on loan.
The forward, who can play as a striker or winger, has signed until the end of the season and could be set for his debut on Saturday against Barrow.
The 21-year-old knows all about Non-League having started his career at Folkestone Invicta, grabbing headlines as he scored 26 times to help the club into the Ryman South play-offs in 2013-14.
Ter Horst has been a regular for Hull's U23 side and has scored in his last two outings. Now he hopes to continue that form with the Minstermen.
He told York's website: “It's a good chance for me to get out and play some proper football. The Conference is a decent level so if I can come here and do well, it puts me in the shop window.
“The majority of my time at Hull has been spent on the wing but I definitely enjoy playing up front off a big man, running in behind.
“You look at this league and see players like Ricky Miller scoring 25 goals in half a season! I'd be happy with ten and hopefully that will be enough to help York avoid the drop.”
Boss Gary Mills has also strengthened his defensive options with the addition of centre-half Hamza Bencherif from his former club Wrexham.
Mills, who took Bencherif to the Racecourse in the summer from FC Halifax Town, has secured the Paris-born man on loan until the end of the season as they look to climb out of the relegation places.
Bencherif, 28, has played 26 times this season for Wrexham, scoring twice, but has been allowed to leave the club by Dragons boss Dean Keates.
