TORQUAY UNITED boss Kevin Nicholson slammed his side's “sketch show” defending and says he isn't sure whether he will remain as Gulls manager.
Nicholson's side were beaten at home by relegation rivals Guiseley on Saturday despite leading at half-time through an Aman Verma wonder strike.
But second half goals from Jake Cassidy and Will Hatfield gave the Lions a vital three points and consigned Torquay to their sixth defeat in nine games.
The result left the Gulls in the National League relegation zone and Nicholson, a left-back himself, was left seething at his side's poor defending as they let another lead slip.
They led Sutton United at Plainmoor last weekend and despite having defender Simon Downer in goal for most of the match, the U's managed to come back and win the game 3-2.
“Not for the first time they've absolutely killed themselves and absolutely killed me,” Nicholson told BBC Radio Devon.
“If it wasn't my team, if it wasn't my club, I'd probably find those goals quite amusing they were that bad. It's not even schoolboy stuff, it's calamity stuff – it's the stuff of sketch shows rather than a football pitch.
“It's probably going to take a little while to get over that one to be totally honest. I usually bounce back pretty quickly, but I'm going to have to lick my wounds a little bit.”
Riviera Stadium Limited's takeover of the club was recently ratified by the National League and Nicholson says he is not sure if he has a future at the club.
He added: “Who knows what the future holds, but if I get the honour to be in charge of this team again next week then I know that a win will most likely get us out of the bottom four.”
