DOVER ATHLETIC boss Chris Kinnear says he expects to remain at Crabble next season despite missing out on the play-offs.
The Whites, who finished fifth last season before losing in the play-offs to Forest Green, will miss out on the top five this term unless they can perform a minor miracle on Saturday.
Because of Tuesday's 2-2 draw with Macclesfield, Dover need to overturn a six-goal deficit by thrashing Barrow at Holker Street and hope Aldershot slip up at home to relegation-theatened Braintree.
Despite a play-off place looking extremely unlikely, boss Kinnear says he has already started thinking about next season and sees no reason why he wouldn't be in charge.
“I don't know whether I'll be here, that's not for me to say, you will need to ask the chairman but I will be working as if I will be, put it that way,” he told KentLive.
“Why wouldn't I be, really? I can't see anyone else who has been near the top of the league like we have for so long. We've only just come up, too. You've got Forest Green throwing money at it for so long and they've been in there for 15 years.
“Lincoln have been in for seven or eight years. It takes time. If you try and do it too quick you are up and back down very quickly. We just have to go out and get players so we can improve on this season and that starts now.”
