Full list of 2017-18 National League fixtures released

NATIONAL LEAGUE newcomers Leyton Orient will visit fellow London side Sutton United on the opening day of the season while Hartlepool host Dover Athletic.

Fixtures for the league’s three divisions were released on Wednesday with just a month left until the big kick off.

Orient, now hopeful of a positive season after Nigel Travis’ consortium purchased the club, make the trip across the capital to take on Sutton United on Saturday, August 5.

Craig Harrison’s Hartlepool begin at home, however, and will host Dover who face a daunting 650-mile round trip to the North East.

Elsewhere, beaten play-off finalists Tranmere Rovers have a long excursion south to Torquay United to look forward to in four weeks’ time.

Dagenham & Redbridge, who finished fourth last term, start at home against Barrow while Aldershot Town travel to newly promoted FC Halifax Town.

National League North champions AFC Fylde begin life in Non-League’s top tier on their own turf, welcoming Boreham Wood to Mill Farm.

The two National League South promotion winners both kick off away, however. Title winners Maidenhead go to Maidstone United while Ebbsfleet travel north to Guiseley.

Eastleigh will be hoping for a better season and face a trip to Bromley on the opening day while Chester travel to the West Midlands to take on Solihull Moors.

Wrexham have made a number of impressive signings this summer and welcome Macclesfield Town to north Wales and Gateshead, another potential play-off contender, have a trip south to Woking.

The National League North has some tasty opening day games with newly relegated York City welcoming AFC Telford and there’s a re-run of the play-off semi-finals as Kidderminster Harriers host Chorley. Salford City also welcome Darlington in a mouthwatering encounter.

And in the South division, Gloucester City face a difficult trip to Chelmsford City after being moved laterally from the North.

Promotion hopefuls Dartford start out at home against Hungerford Town while Step 3 champions Chippenham Town and Havant & Waterlooville will do battle.
