Contrasting debuts for new Havant & Waterlooville pair

picked up a big win at last night in the South and two of their new loan signings experienced slightly different evenings!

Midfielders Godfrey Poku and Theo Lewis both joined the Hawks on loan ahead of Tuesday's game at high-flying Oxford.

Poku, who has dropped down from the National League with , scored a remarkable hat-trick to help give Lee Bradbury's men a 3-1 victory.

The defensive midfielder is not known for his goals but he made an immediate impact, volleying home in the third minute before doubling his tally three minutes later.

He completed the unlikely treble in the 52nd minute, running onto Matt Paterson's ball before firing low past Laurie Walker.

Lewis, who started the game in midfield alongside Poku, didn't have as much to shout about in his first Hawks appearance. He was sent off after 68 minutes for a late lunging tackle following his temporary move from league rivals Ebbsfleet.

The victory moved Havant up to 18th in the table and meant Ebbsfleet's lead at the top remained at five points.
