Turner Targets Loan Move Away From Staines Town

JACK TURNER has sent a come and get me plea to clubs after being granted a loan move away from Skrill South good starters Staines Town.

Jack Turner v TruroThe former AFC Wimbledon youngster, rated as one of 's top up-and-coming goalkeepers, has found himself the victim of team-mate Kyle Merson's emergence.

After a number of matches as an unused substitute, Turner had made the brave decision to look for a short term arrangement elsewhere in a bid to win back his place in the Swans side.

Marcus Gayle's Staines have begun the season in impressive form, sitting in seventh place after a struggle against relegation last term.

Turner, 21, told : “It's nothing personal. I have total respect for all the staff and players at Staines but it's about time I started doing what's best for me.

“I need to be playing at my age and after my first full year playing at Conference South level last season I feel good and confident, but at the moment minutes aren't around at Staines so I need to be looking elsewhere to get them. It's very sad to be taking that step but that's football.

“I believe in what the manager is doing at Staines and respect that and we've had a very positive talks. But I need to build on last season so the only way I can do that is by playing at a good level within a good team on loan.”
