Alan Dowson Back In The Dugout With Hampton & Richmond

FORMER boss Alan Dowson is back in management with Ryman Premier side Borough.

Dowson replaced joint-bosses Paul Barry and Darren Powell who resigned after the 3-2 defeat against in the on Saturday.

The former Ks boss left Kingsmeadow in May after over seven years at the helm but he's back in the Ryman Premier with the Beavers.

Hampton are third from bottom with eight points from ten games but Dowson picked up a point in his first game in charge – a 2-2 at high-flying last night.

Dowson said: “I am so happy to be back in . Living so close to the ground I have always followed the club's results. It's fantastic to be Hampton's manager. I am thankful for the opportunity.

“I can't wait to get started. Steve McPherson the chairman said to me it may be best to sit the Hendon game out but I told him no way! Not a chance, with respect Mr Chairman. There is no time like the present. I don't like watching matches anyway!

“We have a lot of hard work ahead of us. Let's get behind the players.”
