STOURBRIDGE boss Gary Hackett isn't planning for the play-offs just yet despite knowing a point on the final day will guarantee them a spot in the end of season shoot-out.
The Glassboys are firm favourites to land the fourth and final play-off position in the Calor Premier Division following six vital points over the Easter period – and could even finish higher depending on results.
The five goal thrashing of Banbury United and resolute win to see off Chesham United by a solitary goal made it five wins in five for the West Midlands club.
Hackett's side require just a draw in their final game away to Hitchin Town to be sure of their fate, thanks to a considerably superior goal difference, but the former Shrewsbury Town player says his free scoring side have achieved nothing yet.
“You don't take anything for granted in this game. We've done ourselves a big favour, we've still got a lot to do to get over the line,” he told The NLP.
“I said after the game, you get the same three points for beating Chesham and you only get three points for beating Banbury or Hitchin.
“We've got to be very respectful and mindful that anything can happen”.
Waiting for a slip-up are Hungerford Town, who can also catch St Albans City whose goals difference is only three better off, and host Bideford on Saturday.
