SOUTHERN South & West outfit Wimborne Town are searching for a new chairperson following the departure of Paula Henley.
Henley took over as chairperson in January 2016 and along with a small consortium, helped turn the struggling club's fortunes around.
At the time, Henley claimed the Magpies owed around £100,000 but the Dorset club now say they are completely debt free.
Henley stepped down last week for personal reasons and the club are now actively seeking a replacement as they look to continue her good work. President Ken Stewart and former director Tony Grant will cover the role in the short-term.
The Magpies finished 17th in the league last season but have enjoyed a promising campaign so far this term and they currently sit 11th in the table under boss Matty Holmes.
A Wimborne spokesman said: “The club is run as a limited company with a board of directors and is now seeking applicants for the role of chairperson following the recent departure of the existing chairperson.
“We provide football every week for hundreds of boys, girls, women and men from the age of four years upwards. We have an army of superb volunteers and helpers who are the life blood of a club such as ours, whilst we have excellent clubhouse facilities, strong commercial support from local businesses and a good standing in the local community and schools.
“A combination of an interest in football, organisational skills and a business brain is the perfect blend but no prior knowledge or support of the club is required and nor for that matter is a love of football. The key is someone who is keen to help and believes they can help move the club forward.”
