FORMER Premier League midfielder and Goole AFC boss Curtis Woodhouse is back in management with ambitious Step 7 club Hull United.
Woodhouse, a former British light-welterweight boxing champion, left Goole last week after budget cuts meant his playing squad was left decimated. However, it has not taken him long to find a new club.
United currently play in the Humber Premier League but they have applied for promotion to Step 6 for next season and currently sit fourth, five points off the top.
Woodhouse replaces Jamie Waltham, who will become player-coach at the Citizens – a club who have made clear their intentions to climb up the Non-League Pyramid.
Waltham told the Hull Daily Mail: “I always said I would be willing to step aside if we could find someone who could do a better job and I believe Curtis fits the bill.
“He has played at the highest level, knows what Non-League football is all about and shares our vision for the club. I'm excited by what the future holds for us with Curtis as our manager.”
