Huseyin Torgut in interim charge at Greenwich Borough

Bostik South East side Greenwich Borough have gone for an unorthodox approach by appointing physio Huseyin Torgut as their interim manager following the sudden departure of former boss Luke Medley.

Medley, who took up the managerial role at Badgers Sports Ground three months ago, won just eight league games with the Cannons and left them struggling at the wrong end of the table.

Torgut occupied the role of physio at Greenwich Borough when Gary Alexander and John Mackie were in charge of the South East London club.

The 33-year-old opted to join the managerial duo again at Ashford United but he left the club recently after Alexander was controversially sacked by the Bostik South East side via text message.

Greenwich Borough are currently sitting in 18th position and will be looking to spark an upturn in form when they face East Grinstead Town tomorrow.
