By Alex Beard

King’s Lynn Town will be hoping to extend their lead at the top of the Evo-Stik Southern League tonight when they travel to face mid-table Royston Town at Garden Walk.

Ian Culverhouse’s side have made an excellent start to the season, winning five and drawing one of their opening six league fixtures. King’s Lynn will certainly be a formidable proposition for the hosts.

Second place Slough Town are in more comfortable surroundings, as they welcome Hitchin Town to Arbour Park. Meanwhile, third place Banbury United are at home to fifth place Redditch United in the pick of the night’s games.

Kettering Town are on the road against struggling St Ives Town, while sixth place Weymouth also travel to take on Tiverton Town at Ladysmead.

Gosport Borough will be hoping to pick up their first points of the campaign at the seventh attempt when Alex Pike’s team welcome Farnborough to Privett Park. Biggleswade Town host St Neots Town, and Hereford are at home against Stratford Town.

Further down the table, Dunstable Town will visit Chesham United, while Bishop’s Strotford welcome King’s Langley. Finally, Basingstoke Town are the hosts against Merthyr Town at The Camrose.
