Owers believes the great escape is possible

Following their vital 2-1 victory over , Torquay manager Gary Owers believes his side are in with a chance of pulling off the great escape.
Monday's victory left The Gulls four points adrift of safety with six games left to play and Owers is excited about his team's chances.
The Torquay manager told Devon Live,”We are in the top half of the current form table, and I know now that on a good day we can beat anyone in this league.

“We haven't done anything yet and we still have it all to do, but we have given ourselves a chance, and I think the lads can smell it as well.”
Owers' side face a stern test against play-off chasing at Plainmoore tomorrow afternoon. The visitors are just one point adrift of the play-off positions but have lost their last two league games.
Torquay will be seeking revenge over The Whites after they lost 2-0 when the sides last meet in October.
Speaking ahead of the clash, Owers told Devon Live, “Our aim is to give the opposition problems, and we are now.”I felt that they bullied us a bit at home. They are one of the teams that has beaten us convincingly, so that will be a massive challenge.
“But we have more movement and more energy going forward now than we had then.”
