Havant and Waterlooville boss Lee Bradbury favourite to become Hartlepool United manager

Lee Bradbury is the bookies’ favourite to become the new manager of Hartlepool United.

The Havant and Waterlooville boss is 1/1 with Betvictor to replace Matthew Bates, who was sacked last week.

Director of football Craig Hignett is in temporary charge and will be in the dugout again for Pools National League clash at Maidenhead on Saturday.

The Hartlepool Mail is reporting former Barnsley, Crystal Palace, Watford and Oldham player Neil Redfearn has applied for the job.

He has managed Scarborough, Northwich Victoria, York City, Leeds United, Rotherham United and Doncaster Rovers Belles having most recently been working at Liverpool.

Former Newcastle United and Sunderland midfielder Lee Clark has also applied for the position.

Phil Brown, who was recently sacked by League Two side Swindon Town, is priced at 8/1.
