Reid signs new deal

leaders have announced that top scorer Jamie Reid has signed a new contract with the club.
With 21 goals in 33 games so far this season, Reid has become a hero on the terraces at Plainmoor and has been a major force in their run to the top of the table.
The former Exeter frontman, who scored twice in the 7-2 demolition of at the weekend, told Torquay's official club website, “I'm buzzing. I'm happy to be here and obviously we're on a good run.
“I've extended my contract because things are going well for me on the pitch; I like the way we play . We've got a good group of players and there's no reason why I would want to leave.”
“The reason why I have scored 21 goals is because I'm a striker playing as a striker. The fast, attacking football we play I think suits me. The other boys round me have been brilliant, with the midfielders, the wingers and the full-backs coming on, attacking and creating lots of chances. Me and Saikou [Janneh] are reaping the benefits from everyone else's hard work.”
