Joan Luque is Dagenham & Redbridge bound

Luque

Dagenham & Redbridge have dipped their toes into the summer transfer market by signing former Concord Rangers striker Joan Luque on a one year deal.

The 26-year-old midfielder arrives at Dagenham having spent 2019 with The Beachboys after his release from Lincoln City.

The former Barcelona trainee played 11 times for the Essex side, who finished 6th in the National League South,

The Spaniard joined Heybridge Swifts in 2017 as one of 21 players from Spain, Andorra and Argentina who trained with the club. He went onto score an impressive 30 goals for Swifts in all competitions, 17 of which came in the league.

The winger then joined Lincoln, but only made one league appearance for the Imps, before his release at the start of this year.

Luque also had spells at a host of Spanish Clubs in the lower leagues before making the move to England,.

Daggers boss Peter Taylor said, “We’re delighted to bring Luque to the club, and we will be looking for him to replicate the form that he showed at Heybridge Swifts that earned him his move to Lincoln City.”
