Wrexham add a prolific goal scorer to their ranks

have added firepower to their strike force with the signing of Leighton McIntosh on a one-year deal as they look to push for promotion from the National League next season.
A Dundee native, the 26-year-old came through the youth system at Dundee before turning out for Montrose, Peterhead, UMF Selfoss, Arbroath and then Airdrieonians last season.
He made 34 appearances for the Scottish League One club last season scoring 17 goals along the way capping his season off with a hat-trick against Stranraer.
Leighton, who has made three Scotland Under 19's appearances scoring once against Wales finished the 2018-19 season as Airdrieonians' top scorer, while also making the SPFL team of the week after a brace against champions elect Arbroath in April.
On signing for Wrexham, Leighton commented: “It's a really good opportunity for me to come down here and I'm over the moon. It's a new challenge for me coming down from Scotland and I'm really looking forward to getting started.
“I can play out wide or through the middle as a striker and I like to get on the end of the last defender. I'm sure I can cause a lot of problems for opposition.”
When asked about what he adds to the squad he said: “First and foremost I hope to add goals to the team. I have a good goal record over the past few seasons and I'm here to continue that.
“I feel that I can bring several extra dimensions to the team, I can go in behind, hold the ball up and bring an unpredictability for defenders.”
