Harrogate Town have continued their busy start to the season by completing their fourth signing with Will Smith signing on the dotted line to arrive at Wetherby Road.
The versatile defender joins from Barnsley, where he signed his first professional deal in July 2017, shortly after being named 2015/16 Academy Player of the Year at Oakwell.
The 20-year-old made his senior debut in 2018 in the EFL Trophy having been a regular starter for The Tykes U23 side.
The 2018/19 season saw Smith join National League North side Darlington on loan from December onwards, with the young defender impressing in his 14 appearances for The Quakers.
Following promotion from Step 2 last season Harrogate enjoyed an impressive first season in the National League, finishing just outside the play-off positions after spending most of the campaign in the upper echelons of the table.
