Pep Guardiola’s 1,000th game in management recently was greeted with wild excitement among the game’s elite.

Many experts believe the world-class Manchester City boss had attained the greatest accolade in football history.
However, there are several higher tallies in Non-League circles. Take Ramsbottom United manager Steve Wilkes, for example.
On Tuesday, November 18, he oversaw his 1,300th fixture in the dugout, masterminding an emphatic 8-0 victory at City of Liverpool in the North West Counties League Premier Division.
