BRADFORD PARK AVENUE have signed Northern Ireland youth international goalkeeper Conor Mitchell on loan from Burnley.

Mitchell, who impressed during a spell with NPL Division One South club FC, joins Avenue until January 30.

He will replace Jon Stewart in the Avenue goal after the number one was sent off for violent conduct in the recent victory over Lincoln City.

He will miss three games and boss Martin Drury has moved to get back-up with the addition on Mitchell, who is expected to deputise for the suspended captain.

The young stopper signed a professional deal with the Championship club in 2014 and has signed a new contract with the Clarets this term after appearing on the bench against Middlesbrough this season.
