Bogie Adds Former Fox To Stockport Squad

STOCKPORT COUNTY have signed former Leicester City midfielder Aman Verma.

The 26-year-old came through the Foxes' youth system but was released by them after failing to break into their first-team squad.

He then had spells with Bedworth and before rejoining Leicester on trial in December 2008.

Verma managed to secure a short-term deal with the Championship club and ended up remaining at the King Power Stadium until being released in the summer of 2011.

During his stay with the Foxes he spent time out on loan with a number of clubs, including Crewe Alexandra, , Kidderminster and .

Over the past two seasons Verma has represented outfit and Maltese Premier League club Floriana.

Speaking about his arrival at Edgeley Park, Stockport boss Ian Bogie said: “Aman is a player that I have liked since he played against my team on a couple of occasions.

“His physical presence is good, he is cool in possession and has a tremendous ability to break forward, scoring a brilliant goal for Kettering Town which won them the game. I am looking forward to working with him.”
