LEE SINNOTT has departed National League strugglers Altrincham after five years as manager at Moss Lane.
The 50-year-old was the second longest serving manager in Non-League's top flight behind Woking's Garry Hill after taking over at the Robins in May 2011, replacing Ken McKenna.
He stabilised the club following relegation to the Conference North under McKenna and led Alty back to the top tier in 2014 after beating Guiseley in the play-off final.
The Robins finished 17th in their first season back in Non-League's top division and made it to the second round of the FA Cup earlier this season but a poor run of form has seen them slip into the bottom four.
Tuesday night's 3-2 home defeat to Gateshead made it seven games without a win and with clubs around them picking up points, Sinnott has left the club.
Chairman Grahame Rowley said: “It has been a privilege to work with Lee, a man of integrity and honesty. I am extremely sorry to see him go, his shoes will be hard to fill. Altrincham Football Club are proud to have had him as their manager.”
