EASTLEIGH boss Martin Allen says he won't be signing any more players as he aims for stability to help get the Spitfires back in the play-off hunt.
Allen has brought in nine new faces since replacing Ronnie Moore as Eastleigh manager at the start of December.
He has also seen key players, such as captain Joe Partington and winger Luke Coulson depart but the boss has said it's now time for current squad members to step up.
The Spitfires are down in 12th in the National League but they are only eight points adrift of the top five and currently on a four match unbeaten run.
Allen, who guided Barnet to the Conference title in 2014-15, knows what it takes to win promotion to the Football League and reckons stability is what the Spitfires desperately need.
“Of course there's room for improvement, but we need to settle it down now,” he told the Daily Echo. “A few wins would put us in a really good position.
“It was an unsettling period when I got here – half the team could play in the FA Cup, the other half couldn't. Then we've had offers coming in for our players and some have moved on. For all of us, we need to have a bit of stability now.
“We've got Reda Johnson and Gavin Hoyte coming back soon from injury and I'm going to take a look at some of the younger players like Jack Smith and Jack Masterton and the young lad Tom Bearwish who's been scoring a lot of goals.
“With so many players here, it's been impossible to look at the younger ones, but these lads will be coming in for training and spending most of their time with us.”
