Adam Virgo: The Shots are hot but beware of Dover Athletic

I'VE got to give former and my fellow BT Sport pundit Chris Hargreaves a pat on the back.

He had Aldershot in his top five at the start of the season. The momentum you need for a promotion push is certainly in north Hampshire right now.

Gary Waddock has won the league before and he's got a small squad which, providing he can keep it fit, can work in his favour.

But, for me, the team you don't want to play in the play-offs is . They are an absolute nuisance.

In Ricky Miller they've got the best striker in the league. They're so unpredictable too. On one day they'll beat a team 5-0, another they can lose 5-0.

and are tough because of their locations, but if Dover make it in there again they're best avoided.

Forest Green Rovers were lucky to make it past them in last season's semi-final. The likes of Miller, Ross Lafayette and Moses Emmanuel… do you really want to be playing against them?

They've also got another wildcard: Nothing to lose. Well, maybe Miller to a League club. But he's shown loyalty to them in the past and a promotion might convince him to stay longer.

But if Lincoln, Tranmere or even Forest Green don't go up, there would potentially be far more consequences than Dover not making it. Beware of Chris Kinnear's men.
