Jamie Taylor

Experienced striker Jamie Taylor returns to Eastbourne Borough

fans' favourite Jamie Taylor has returned to the club for his third spell, joining on loan from rivals .

The striker spent two Conference Premier seasons with the club from 2009 to 2011 and also had a brief spell on loan in 2014, scoring 39 times for the Sports.

A former Eastbourne player of the year, Taylor has found playing time difficult to come by at Margate since Nikki Bull replaced Terry Brown as manager.

The 33-year-old former Aldershot, AFC Wimbledon, Lincoln City and Sutton forward rejoins Eastbourne initially on loan for 28 days.

Borough boss Tommy Widdrington said: “With Darren Lok set to miss games after his dismissal on Tuesday, and Elliott Romain also close to a possible suspension for totting up yellows, this is a great time for us to strengthen our squad with one of the best strikers in the division.

“Having worked with Jamie before, I had no hesitation in re-engaging his services. He has so much to offer both to me and my coaches, and to the rest of the team.

“We are still a young side and still eager to learn and Jamie brings experience and proven ability. I am sure all supporters will join me in welcoming him back to the Lane.”
