Lee Hodges returns as manager of Truro City

LEE HODGES has returned as manager to replace Steve Tully who was surprisingly let go last week.

Tully had led the White Tigers to promotion from the League Southern Premier in his first season in charge before finishing fourth in the South.

Despite his impressive record, the former Exeter City skipper was told his contract would not be renewed and Truro have turned to a familiar face.

Like Tully, Hodges led Truro to promotion from Step 3 in his first season at the helm but following the club's debut campaign in the Conference South in 2012-13 he was not offered a new deal with City claiming they couldn't afford to keep him on.

A former Tottenham, , Reading and Plymouth Argyle player, Hodges has now returned to Treyew Road ahead of the new season.

He told the club's website: “I'm looking forward to coming back to Truro and to getting back to the buzz of winning games.

“It's all happened very quickly and it's been a bit of a whirlwind but I feel like I have unfinished business at Treyew Road.”

Joining Hodges at Truro will be veteran striker Rory Fallon, who will serve as player-coach. The New Zealand international, 34, previously had a four-year spell at Plymouth and his most recent club was League Two side Bristol Rovers.
