Oxford City youngster Horatio Hirst attracting Premier League interest

EXCITING Oxford City youngster Horatio Hirst is being watched by Premier League clubs as interest in the striker continues to hot up.

The 18-year-old has impressed with his performances for Oxford’s youth team this season and recently helped dump Peterborough United out of the FA Youth Cup.

His form hasn’t gone unnoticed, however, with Premier League sides West Brom, Stoke and Burnley all keen while Championship clubs Norwich City and Reading are also tracking his progress.

Hirst, who stands at 6ft 1in, also represents the Oxfordshire FA U18 County Youth Team and scored four goals as they won their first ever South & West Counties Junior Championship in May, beating Somerset 5-0.

City’s senior side are currently 17th in the National League South after winning three of their last four league games following a tough start to the season.
