Beasley Bags A Deal With The Magpies

MIDFIELDER Jamie Beasley has signed for Dorchester Town after impressing Magpies boss Phil Simkin during the club’s pre-season campaign.

Beasley, who has previously played for Dorset clubs Weymouth and Poole Town, arrived at the Avenue earlier this summer and has now secured himself a permanent deal with the Conference South outfit

Jamie BeasleySimkin is happy to have the 25-year-old on board and told the club’s website:  “I’m absolutely delighted for Jamie because he has worked really hard in training.

“He has worked for every minute of every session and looks very fit.  He did well when he came on at Poole and is a Dorchester boy who wants to play for Dorchester.

“A few years ago he was with Weymouth and a couple of League clubs were interested in him. He started training with us this summer and has put the work in and seems a decent lad to me.

“He has always been a wide left player but I’ve spoken to him about possibly using him in a more central position at times. Jamie is good in the air and will be useful to have at set-pieces.

“Hopefully he is going to be a good addition to the squad.”
