NATHAN Ralph hailed the impact of the raucous Southend United fans at Wembley.
The Shrimpers’ skipper joked he was pleased to win both coin tosses before the penalties so they were able to take first – and in front of their supporters.
Ralph has seen it all at Roots Hall. Relegation, questions over whether the club would survive – and now domestic silverware.
“I am one of the boys who was there when it was really bad – to see where it is now, the place the club is at is amazing,” Ralph said. “There were points a few years ago when you weren’t sure if it would ever get there....
