It’s a Dons date for Rob Tolfrey’s big night

keeper Rob Tolfrey is hoping to celebrate six years at the club with a bumper crowd for his testimonial match against AFC Wimbledon on Thursday.

Tolfrey is about to enter his seventh season with the club after joining from , via Whyteleafe and Crawley Town, in 2009.

The Ks have been fighting at the top end of the Ryman Premier seemingly every year since but that elusive promotion has just been out of reach.

Tolfrey has signed up for next term and hopes to kick it off in the right manner on Thursday as the Ks welcome their landlords for the 7.45pm kick-off with prices just £8 for adults and £5 for concessions.

Children under the age of 18 are admitted free but those under 11 must be accompanied by an adult.

The stopper has enjoyed some good times under bosses Alan Dowson and now Tommy Williams, and is confident his side can be challenging again.

“I've been at the club for six calendar years and next season will be my seventh,” said Tolfrey, who has made 277 Ks appearances.

“You don't see many players staying at clubs for that long in so hopefully people will turn out for the game.

“The club have stuck by me and been very good to me. It feels like home so there was no reason to want to leave. It's a partnership that works.

“Tommy has added some good signings this summer and the Ryman Premier looks very open. We're confident we'll do well.”
