VASTLY experienced midfielder Rohan Ricketts has returned to English , signing for Jimmy Bullard's .

Bullard, who surprisingly took the Tanners' reins in September, has swooped for friend Ricketts, who has played for a number of clubs around the world.

The 33-year-old started his career with Arsenal before moving on to north London rivals Spurs, where he made 30 appearances.

Two seasons with Wolves followed after his White Hart Lane exit and he later signed for Barnsley before deciding to continue his career abroad.

His first move was to Canada with Toronto FC, who play in the United States' MLS, before spells in a number of countries from around the globe.

Ricketts, once described as “the world's most well-travelled footballer”, has played in Canada, Hungary, Moldova, Germany, Ireland, India, Ecuador, Thailand, and Hong Kong.

He most recently played for Abahani Limited Dhaka in Bangladesh but has now returned to the UK and linked up with Bullard.

The Tanners are currently just one point and one place above the Ryman Premier relegation zone after picking up only one win in their past eight games.

On Bullard, Ricketts said: “I spoke to him for about an hour the other night about football and he blew my mind.

“He surprised me big time with how much he knew about things that they don't really teach in this country. His passion for how he wants to play was so inspiring. His attention to detail was frightening.”
