CHATHAM TOWN boss Paul Piggott says experienced striker Moses Ashikodi's time at the club is over after he walked off the pitch during a game following an argument with a team-mate.
The 29-year-old started his career at Millwall and played for a number of Football League clubs including Gillingham, Bradford and Swindon before dropping into Non-League.
The nomadic forward's latest stop was at Ryman South side Chatham Town but it looks like he has no future at the club following an incident in Saturday's 3-0 loss to Greenwich Borough.
Ashikodi had only been on the pitch for seven minutes when he fell out with team-mate Ricky Freeman before deciding enough was enough.
He walked off the pitch at Chatham's Sports Ground and left his side playing with ten men for the final quarter of an hour as they had used all three subs.
The Chats are struggling in the Ryman South's bottom three and new boss Pigott was far from pleased, saying the incident had been “dealt with”.
Piggott, who was named Chatham's third manager of the season two weeks ago, told Kent Online: “He lost his head. He had an altercation with Ricky Freeman – it wasn't good.
“Something upset him – I don't know what it was – and he walked off. I've never see that happen before. It'll be put to bed and we'll move on.
“Is he finished here? In a word, yes. He's been a proven player at a decent level. It's a shame it happened but it's dealt with.”
