Lee Fowler named Wrexham captain by ‘delighted’ boss Gary Mills

has told fans not to expect any more new signings – and has named returning Lee Fowler as the Dragons' captain.

Striker James Gray became Mills' tenth summer addition last week following the boss' move from rivals .

The former and manager is happy with how his squad looks and has named experienced midfielder Fowler as his skipper.

Fowler, 32, ended last season on loan at League One side Crawley Town but he is now back in Wales after making 33 appearances for Wrexham between 2011-12.

“I never say that's going to be it, but I've got nothing in the pipeline at the moment,” Mills said.

“I've also got a lot of good players now and I'm delighted at the way we are looking.

“I've known Lee for a number of years and I wouldn't have made him captain a few years ago.

“But I think he's ready now and totally focused. He's disciplined, he's professional and he wants everything done right.

“For me he's perfect and I think myself as manager and him as captain, we'll work well together.”
