FOUR teams are dedicating their home games to Kick It Out as Non-League Day celebrates four years of partnership with football's equality and inclusion organisation.
Aldershot Town, Boreham Wood, Bromsgrove Sporting and Sheffield FC have nominated their home fixtures on Non League Day to the work of Kick It Out and the Fans For Diversity campaign, run in partnership between Kick It Out and the Football Supporters' Federation (FSF).
Players from all teams involved will wear t-shirts recognising Kick It Out and Fans For Diversity during the pre-match warm up, with supporters in attendance welcomed with badges, stickers, wristbands and fan clappers.
Vanarama National League side Aldershot Town have renamed one of their stands ahead of Non-League Day. The ‘Fans For Diversity stand' will help encourage inclusivity amongst Shots supporters, with the campaign offering ten season tickets for use over the 2015-16 season.
In a new addition to activities this season, Kick It Out and Fans For Diversity will visit each of the home grounds on Monday 5 and Tuesday 6 October ahead of their dedicated games.
The Kick It Out roadshow will see the organisation visit each club across two days, to deliver resources as well as host a unique event at each club.
Starting at Boreham Wood, the roadshow will visit Aldershot before heading north to Sheffield for an overnight stay, with the two-day trip concluding at Bromsgrove Sporting.
Director of Kick It Out Roisin Wood said: “We are delighted to be continuing our successful partnership with Non-League Day.
“Over the past five years Non-League Day has developed into one of the most important dates for the semi-professional and amateur game, as it recognises a level of football which often doesn't get the attention it deserves.
“Last season was our biggest involvement to date, with Blyth Spartans, Dulwich Hamlet, Lewes and Marine all dedicating their fixtures to Kick It Out. This was a major success and we want to continue that with the clubs involved this year.
“It is vital that the organisation's key messages of equality and inclusion are spread across the Non-League and grass-roots game and we are thrilled that Aldershot Town, Boreham Wood, Bromsgrove Sporting and Sheffield FC have agreed to promote the work of Kick It Out.”
