Young Brazilian loanee Alefe Santos will “excite”, says Eastleigh boss Ronnie Moore

boss Ronnie Moore expects new loan signing Alefe Santos to excite Spitfires supporters after he arrived on loan from Derby County.

The 21-year-old winger has joined the ambitious club until January 2 after featuring in three EFL Trophy games for the Rams' youth side this season.

The highly-regarded youngster was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil but moved to England when he was 12 and started his career at Stoke City.

He moved on to Bristol Rovers in 2011, making 24 appearances in League Two before signing for Derby after he rejected a new contract at the Memorial Stadium.

Santos had a brief loan spell at last season but will now test himself in after signing a short-term deal with the Spitfires, who are currently eighth in the National League.

“He's can play wide left or right, I think he'll excite one or two people,” Eastleigh boss Moore told BBC Radio Solent.

“It's nice that we can draw someone here from a Championship club. There have been League clubs interested in him, who can't move for him until January, so we thought we would take advantage of the situation.”
