McNamee Is Woking’s Latest Recruit

have signed former Watford and Swindon midfielder Anthony McNamee.

The 29-year-old began his career at Vicarage Road and went on to make over 90 appearances for the Hornets between 2002 and 2008.

During that time he also spent spells on loan with and Crewe Alexandra.

After leaving Watford he linked up with Swindon Town and was a regular for the Robins over the course of the next two seasons.

His performances for the Wiltshere outfit saw him attract the attentions of Norwich City, who signed him on an initial emergency loan before signing him permanently in January 2010.

McNamee was primarily used as a substitute during his time with the Canaries and left them on a free transfer following their promotion to the Premier League.

He has since had spells with MK Dons, Wycombe Wanders, and , with whom he spent two months at the start of this year.
