Fans Chip In For Struggling Bulls

CASH-STRAPPED United have been given a timely boost after fans donated over £6,000 at the club's home game against Cambridge United on Saturday.

Season ticket holders and fans paying on the day were urged to give a little extra to help out the financially troubled Bulls with their December wage bill.

To be exact, £6,711.17p was donated at the gates and through bucket collections as Martin Foyle's side also received a big boost on the pitch after a battling 1-0 win over the Skrill Premier leading U's.

Funds are also being raised online, with £3,000 already pledged and chairman David Keyte said: “We've had donations from across the UK, and as well as Hereford supporters we've had fans from Mansfield, Shrewsbury, Cheltenham and Oxford who have made donations.

“We've also been warmed by some very kind messages of support that have been sent to us, and I must thank those fans who have taken time to get in touch.”

The Bulls need to raise £35,000 by the New Year to make sure they can meet its obligations to staff, and fans have also been asked to donate at the matches against Forest Green and Kidderminster at Edgar .
