Gary Meakin moves in at Egham while Burnham being search

GARY MEAKIN has been named as the new manager of Egham Town while fellow Step 4 club Burnham are searching for a new boss following Mark Tallentire’s resignation.

Meakin, a former Northwood, Wingate & Finchley, Beaconsfield SYCOB and Burnham manager, has replaced Trevor Norris who quit last week for ‘personal reasons’.

The Sarnies are currently 17th in the Evo-Stik League Southern Division One Central with two wins from their opening six league games.

Meanwhile, Burnham are on the lookout for a new manager after Tallentire quit with the club’s budget reportedly being cut.

The former Binfield boss only joined the Southern South & West club in May but he resigned after Tuesday’s Berks & Bucks Senior Cup victory over Slough Town.

Meanwhile, Ryman South bottom club Chipstead have named Lyndon Buckwell as their new manager following Simon Colbran’s departure last week.
