Gosport Borough chairman Iain McInnes offers to reimburse fans after thrashing at Banbury

chairman Iain McInnes has offered to reimburse the club's supporters who witnessed their hammering at on Saturday.
Alex Pike's team were thrashed 5-0 to leave them four points adrift from safety in the South.
Banbury captain Ricky Johnson bagged a hat-trick while Elliott Sand and Jack Self netted a goal each to compound another miserable day for Gosport.
And McInnes, who only took over the club in December, has made a generous gesture to their fans.
“Whilst offering my sincere apologies for the below par showing, for those that paid good money to travel to Banbury United today in such horrible conditions, as a gesture of the club's gratitude I would like to offer to reimburse the entry fee to that game,” he said in a statement.
“In addition, we will reimburse £10 towards travel expenses for all those who have proof of attendance and can submit it to Craig Stainton (the club's secretary) no later than Tuesday evening. They will then be repaid on attendance at Saturday's match against Merthyr.
“We clearly have some way to go before we can be comfortable about retaining our position in this league which looks increasingly like a two horse race and your support home and away could play a critical part.
“Please turn out in force on Tuesday night when we are likely to face one, if not the most severe test of the season to date against current leaders Kings Lynn Town”.
