Gateshead appoint Ben Clark

Gateshead United have announced that Ben Clark has been handed the managerial role on a full-time basis.
Clark originally stepped in as caretaker following the surprise departure of Steve Watson to National League North side York City last week.
The 35-year-old has somewhat of a legendary status at the International Stadium after making over 250 appearances for Gateshead during a five year stint with the club.
Clark has moved quickly to add to his management team, promoting former strength and conditioning coach Ian Watson to Assistant manager, as well as bringing former Newcastle defender Mike Williamson into the coaching set up.
Gateshead are currently sitting just outside the National League play-off positions in eighth position.
