NEWPORT COUNTY have confirmed they are unable to increase the allocation of tickets for Hereford United fans for next Tuesday’s Blue Square Bet Premier fixture.
A statement from the Exiles, who currently top the Blue Square Bet Premier with three wins from their first three games, said:
“Due to the configuration of the stadium, and despite the best efforts of everyone involved, it has proved impossible to amend the segregation lines for Tuesday’s match. We will look to address this moving forward.
“We would to thank Hereford United for their understanding in this matter and offer our apologies to the Hereford United fans that will miss out on the opportunity of watching this fixture.”
Second-placed Hereford responded by saying: “Hereford United would like to thank the staff at Newport County for their strenuous efforts to secure additional tickets for United supporters.
“Hereford United strongly advise supporters without tickets to not travel to Rodney Parade as admittance will not be possible.”
