Majority of North Ferriby squad decide to stay with club

UNITED have announced the majority of their squad have re-signed for next term despite a turbulent end to last season.

After players were told the club would be seeking demotion, owners Steve and Eman Forster, who have put the club up for sale, outlined their intent to stick by the Villagers while a buyer was sought.

The club vowed to stay in the Conference North and they have now released the list of players who will be turning out for the winners next season.

Captain Liam King, Tom Denton, Adam Nicklin, Danny Hone and Josh Wilde were already contracted for next term and are joined by two-goal hero Ryan Kendall.

Also re-signing are Tom Nicholson, Louis Bruce, Mark Gray, Danny Clarke, Russell Fry, Danny Emerton, Adam Bolder, Tim Taylor and Curtis Bateson.

Meanwhile, Nathan Hotte has signed for the club from Conference North rivals Bradford Park Avenue and Dean Lisles returns following a spell at . Only Gregg Anderson, Matt Wilson, Nathan Peat, Nathan Jarman and Jonathan D'Laryea have left.

Manager Billy Heath said: “It is great that so many of last season's squad have signed on again and it says a great deal about their spirit and attitude

“Despite the alleged doom and gloom of a few weeks ago, we are geared-up to go next season. It goes without saying that we have a good squad for the coming season. The new signings will add experience and both are versatile players. We have a squad that is more than capable of competing in the .”

Owners Steve and Eman Forster added: “Following the end-of-season media speculation, we are delighted to announce that most of last season's successful squad has opted to remain with the club.

“It shows the players' commitment not only to the club but also to the fans and those who work behind the scenes. It is this spirit which typifies North Ferriby United.

“As is usual during the close season, some players have left the club and we wish them will in whatever they choose to do.”
