BRIAN REID has departed Vanarama Conference club Nuneaton Town after only ten competitive games in charge.
The 43-year-old Scot took charge of Boro in May, signing a one-year contract, and oversaw their final three games of last season.
The former Ayr United boss took over from Kevin Wilkin, who had Boro fighting for a play-off place before departing for Wrexham.
However, this season has been a struggle for Nuneaton and the club have won only one of their opening seven games which has culminated in Reid's departure.
Former caretaker boss Mark Noon, who served as Reid's assistant, will take temporary charge and be assisted by Nicky Eaden and James Ellis.
Nuneaton chief executive Ian Neale said: “It's a decision taken by the board which we believe is the right thing to do. An agreement was made by all parties, it could not continue in that way.
“Certainly there were some issues. But I don't think it would be right for the club or Brian to discuss personal matters. We've got to agree a deal with Brian over the settlement of his contract.”
